The Kennedy Family > This image was created using 165 30 second exposures combined with 'Startrails'. A great little time saver of a program.

The glow in the lower right corner is the light pollution from town.

The Kennedy Family > I think I got lucky with the North Star being in the photo like this. I just basically pointed it at the sky without checking the direction. It is unlucky that I don't have anything in the foreground to give it some interest as I thought I had some tree tops in the frame.

This is a composite of 109 30 second photos, taking exactly one hour (don't do the math, it doesn't add up but if I check the time of the first photo and the last, it's exactly one hour). Canon 40D, Tamron 17-55mm 2.8 set to 17mm and F2.8, cable release.

The Kennedy Family > I set the camera to shoot 30 second exposures, and using a cable release I set it to continually shoot photos.

This is a composite of 41 frames.

This was a test of a) if this would even work, and b) if the program I have to create the composite from all the photos would work (it did).

It looks like I am going to have to go back one night and let the camera shoot continually for much longer.

Canon 40D, set to take 30" exposures, and the drive mode set to continous shooting, cable release locked, Tamron 17-55mm XR DiII SP wide open (17mm and F2.8).

On the bottom edge of the photo, you can see the silhouette of trees, especially the lower right corner. This photo may not look like much, but to me this was a success.

Taken near the base of the Dryden Doplar radar site, Dryden Ontario on October 26th, 2006.

Canon 20D, Bulb setting F6.3, 800iso, cable release and tripod used.

The Kennedy Family > Sony A100 DSLR, Minolta 50mm 1.4

Exposure time: 12 minutes, 38 seconds. This is my first attempt at capturing star trails.
