Wendy is slightly out of focus due to the narrow DoF (Depth of Field) of the lens (a Tamron 17-50mm F2.8) being wide open at F 2.8. It was a quick shot to try and capture the moment. If I took the time to adjust the aperture, John would have seen me and made a silly face.
