Using an adapter, I used my Carl Zeiss Planar T* 80mm 2.8 (from my Hasselblad 500 C/M medium format camera that was made in 1973, lens made in 1972) lens on my Canon 40D. Manual settings of the F stop and focus on the lens itself (f 2.8) and using live view to take the image while adjusting the shutter speed (using the camera's light meter to get proper exposure).
Because the shutter speed was 1/8th of second, John isn't 100% in focus (low lighting in the room at the time keeping me from using a faster shutter speed John just couldn't stay still!).
